Ok, so I clearly suck at blogging...Since I last wrote, I have lost three more pounds. I should be moving faster but I'm not being as good as I should be. Some days at school are just too stressful to not have chocolate!!! Lol. Still no pop or fast food though.
I need to get my exercise together. I try to walk at least 3-4 times a week, but other than that the only exercise I get is running up and down the stairs at school. I guess that is ok but...

Crazy week

This week has been insanely busy...I hate weeks like this. When I weighed in on Monday, I had lost 5 lbs. That was a good motivator :). I am getting better at making good food choices without thinking about it so much.
So far I am not having the kinds of issues I thought I would be having. I have found that eating a piece of cheese will curb a sweet craving. Since sweets are always my downfall, this finding has been very helpful.
I have been walking every day after school but now it is getting very VERY cold...so that will probably come to a stop, lol.
Well, I know this isn't a lot but it's all I'v got for now. Happy weekend!

Ok the weekend is over...back on track. Even though I said I was going to do whatever on the weekends, I still wasn't bad. I will weigh in tomorrow morning to see how I did this week.

1/6/2012

Yesterday was crazy busy and I didn't sleep well on Wednesday night so I was super tired. I didn't exercise but I still tried to eat ok. For breakfast I had a granola bar, for lunch I had a bowl of broccoli soup and a bagle with cream cheese, for dinner I had a ham steak, mashed potatoes with no gravy, and slaw. Oh, I had 1 Hershey kiss...oops, lol.
Today I had a fiber bar for breakfast, and a Lean Cusine pizza and yougurt for lunch. For dinner I had BBQ pulled chicken sliders, cottage cheese, and a V-8 juice. The BBQ sauce on the chicken was a Jillian Michaels recipe. It was really good. I'll post it a little later.
Overall I think it has been a good first week. I don't normally eat breakfast so I have been working very hard to make that change. Giving up pop hasn't killed me like I thought it might, lol. I will weigh in on Sunday afternoon, we'll see if I got anywhere.

More people are joining in...

There are three other people from school joining me on this journey...exercise today consisted of walking laps around the gym with them. It was nice to have someone to walk with. However, it was during this time that I suggested they give up fast food and pop, so maybe they will not walk with me tomorrow, lol.
Let's see what have I eaten today? For breakfast I had a bagle and yougurt. For lunch I had potato soup and a salad. For dinner I had a taco salad and some strawberries.
I went back to original yougurt instead of the light...not sure if that was the right thing to do but the light is sweetened with aspertame and that seems to be so bad for you.
Still no pop...not as hard as I thought...for now anyway :).
Well off to do some school work..have a good night.

1/3/2012

Today's food log: for breakfast I had a granola bar and some yougurt, for lunch I had a Healthy Choice meal with turkey, green beans, and fruit, for dinner I had a pork chop, vegetables, and cottage cheese. I had another granola bar and some cheese for a snack. I have been thinking about the idea of eating small amounts of food every 2 or 3 hours, but that just isn't possible while I'm at school, so for now I'll stick with three meals.
I walked a mile this afternoon on top of the bazillion times I am up and down the stairs at school, lol.
Not drinking pop is making my blood sugar a lot lower. I always drank diet pop, but that still affected my sugar I guess. One more reason to motivate me not to drink it :).

1/2/2012

Ok day two seemed to be a little easier. Not drinking pop came pretty easy today. As far as food, I had cereal for breakfast, a BLT and salad for lunch, and potato soup and yougurt for dinner. I also had nuts a couple of times for a snack.
I even worked in a two mile walk on the treadmill. Tomorrow is back to school after Christmas. Hopefully being back on a schedule will be helpful :).
